Teej in Durbar Sq.

As it turns out, I got to see my first Nepalese festival!  Big Deal?  Well, apparently there are tons of festivals throughout the year, but yes, this was cool.  I met up with some friends just outside of Durbar square in Kathmandu.  The main Teej festival celebration took place here.  Teej is a celebration for women and for women to celebrate their husbands or husbands to be.  They all dressed up in red saris and were celebrating by dancing and providing offerings to various gods (maybe Shiva?).
